Maria de Lurdes Lopes and José Ricardo Carneiro are guest editors of the special issue (on Durability of Geosynthetics) of International Journal of Geosynthetics and Ground Engineering.
The special issue on “Durability of Geosynthetics” aims to gather papers with relevant advances in the knowledge about the long-term behaviour of geosynthetics. The degradation agents/mechanisms covered in the special issue include but are not limited to liquids, oxidation, weathering, biological agents, creep, abrasion, and installation damage. Developments in laboratory and field testing of geosynthetics are also welcomed. The effect of stabilisers on the long-term behaviour of geosynthetics is also covered. Case studies on the durability of geosynthetics are also desired.
